A River's Sutra

The river Sarasvati has been the subject of much debate over the past few years although lately, most historians and archaeologists have begun to concede that an ancient river like this perhaps did exist in India. However, they still continue to discuss by which name the river was known, the route that it took and the reasons for its disappearance. The Haryana government now has plans to revive the river and a 50 km stretch, believed to be the original river bed, has been cleared near Kurukshetra. I went there recently. The following story resulted.
