Where's Incredible India?

India, with its vast tourism potential, still receives far less foreign tourists than other smaller countries like Singapore or Thailand. Although more Indians are now travelling abroad, proportionately, lesser foreign tourists are coming into India. This is surely not good news for the tourism industry, which accounts for 6% of the country’s total GDP.

Ever heard of games like korfball, ball badminton or softball being played in our country? Not many would be aware that these games are being played in India. Yet these games have been in existence, for decades, in our country, with federations in place, to help promote them. So, why do many people still don’t know about them?

The comic book industry is witnessing a spate of desi superheroines, modelled after Indian characters, who are all set to give their male counterparts a run for their money. Most of these draw inspiration from Indian goddesses like Kali. But, is just conjuring up the theme of a goddess with superpowers enough for their success?
