Saving India's Monuments

Monuments, they say, have many stories to tell. However, in a country like India that is teeming with heritage structures, most of the stories connected with monuments are ironically, of the apathy shown towards their maintenance and conservation. Many conservationists believe that perhaps it's time there is greater participation from organisations as well as individuals, which can add more muscle to conservation efforts. So, is public-private partnership (PPP) the way forward, if the country's heritage is to be preserved?
