The man-who has been referred to as “the funniest writer ever to put words on paper” would have been amused to know that the idyllic world that he had created, through his vast body of work- of over ninety-six books, had the biggest following, not in Britain, where he set most of his brilliantly hilarious plots, but in India- a country that he never wrote about.
